So it follows that anything you can do to reduce stress is a good thing. Frankly the keys to making moving less stressful lies in two words: preparation and planning. General Moving TipsMake a checklist as you get close to the actual moving day. That list will allow you to keep track of everything you are doing and everything that needs to get done. Make sure your boxes aren't too big and make sure you label them with the room they're supposed to go into! Also make sure you have enough boxes, which generally means getting 25% more than you thought you needed. If the boxes are too large you'll over pack them and they will be much harder to move. Make sure you have bags ready with the absolute necessities: these include toilet paper, any medicine, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, soap, shampoo, towels, a flashlight, some extra light bulbs, snacks and drinks. Moving PetsMoving is stressful for pets too but there are things that can be done here as well.
